About Spencer
I am a United States Marine, an instructor in PaSaRyu, and a dedicated self-defense instructor with an unwavering commitment to martial arts and fitness. My journey into the world of martial arts began at the age of six under the instruction of the renowned Master Rhee, who introduced me to the discipline of PaSaRyu. For three years, I trained with intensity and focus, laying the groundwork for a future in martial arts.
Following the passing of my father, my formal training was put on hold, but my passion for martial arts never waned. Even without a teacher, I continued to practice and refine the techniques I had learned from Master Rhee. While residing in Illinois, I briefly studied Judo, which expanded my understanding of grappling and body control. I later delved into Wing Chun through the Alabama Wing Chun Boxing Academy, deepening my proficiency in close-quarters combat and internal martial principles.
In 2009, upon returning to the Memphis area, I reconnected with Master Rhee. Master Rhee recognized his former student and welcomed me back. Resuming my training with renewed purpose, I went on to earn the rank of 3rd-degree black belt in PaSaRyu.
Today, I bring my knowledge and experience to others as an instructor in the martial arts and in self-defense. Drawing from a diverse background in multiple martial arts and military training, I empower students with confidence, discipline, and integrity.
I am an Aircraft Maintenance Manager and Aircraft Recovery Specialist. I attend Hope Church and firmly believe in giving back with the gifts God has blessed me with.
